Thousands Rally in Denver: Get US Out Now!
Two thousand people from across Colorado gathered at the state capitol in Denver on Saturday, September 24, to demand an end to the occupation of Iraq. The rally and march was organized by the recently formed "3 November Movement", with the support of many regional organizations, in solidarity with the national march on Washington DC.
The 3 November Movement held a regional rally and march as part of a nationwide protest to coincide with the World Bank and International Monetary Fund fall meetings, September 24-25 in Washington, D.C.. Speakers included State Representative Morgan Carroll, Union and Community Organizer Scott Silber, Mark Turner of Ripples Cross, East High School Students Alex Stevens and Sarah McNaughton, Hashim Malik-Bay of Muslim American Society's Freedom Foundation, Vietnam Veteran Mike Collins, Mike Miles, Nita Gonzales of Escuela Tlatelolco, and Jeff Paterson representing Not In Our Name. David Rovics provided music breaks throughout the rally. Free Range Theater reunited to perform War Memorial. Food Not Bombs conducted a food drive to help Hurricane Katrina victims.

paul was gone for 2 years because the 2nd Infantry division in Korea does not allow dependants to be there. It's a 1 year tour. They were sent from Korea to Iraq. Now they are back from Iraq and the units are moving to Ft Carson.
