SIR! NO SIR!

Saturday, September 24 at 7 pm
New College Theater
777 Valencia St, SF

Join us after the peace rally – many events in the film took place in San Francisco!

SIR! NO SIR! by David Zeiger is a film about the anti-war movement during the Vietnam War.

BE THE MEDIA will screen 15 minutes of this new film, and then host a PANEL discussion with:
- David Zeiger: Director, SIR! NO SIR!
- Tom Bernard: WORMS (We Openly Resist Military Stupidity): Air Force interpreters who resisted the air war against the Vietnamese people
- Matt Rinaldi: Attorney, National Lawyers Guild: Matt played a major role in the civilian support network for the GI movement
- Keith Mather: 9 for Peace member: Soldiers who refused to go to Vietnam and took sanctuary in a San Francisco Church, and Presidio 27 member: Prisoners in the Presidio Stockade charged with mutiny after staging a sitdown strike to protest the killing of a prisoner by a guard

$5-$10 donation requested to raise funds to support wide distribution. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Co-Sponsored by: Global Exchange, Media-Alliance, and the New College Media Studies MA Program.

"Anyone waging war with American troops might want to listen carefully to the largely untold story of David Zeiger's new documentary, 'Sir! No Sir!' of how some of the most dedicated troops became some of the most damaging supporters of the movement to end the war in Vietnam." - Los Angeles Times
