Back by overwhelming demand! This Saturday, September 10th, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, we'll hold a major peace rally at 16th & Broadway in Sacramento.

As before, the primary purpose of this rally is to publicly express displeasure about the war and the administration's failure to bring it to an end. There is an important additional purpose to our Saturday rally: to express our disapproval over the administration's bungled response to the hurricane victims.

As the death toll mounts in Iraq due to Bush's incompetence as commander-in-chief, his blundering oversights of federal administrations such as FEMA are now just as apparent. Out of the vast numbers of reports from the southern states following last week's hurricane, we are learning just how vulnerable the president has left his fellow citizens in the US.

Please come out this Saturday to show others in our community that we are outraged by the president's actions (and inactions) and that the others in our community who feel the same way are not alone.

Our numbers at Broadway have grown remarkably over the last several weeks (roughly 350 last time). Many people have recently come out to participate for the first time ever! This has not only brought increased momentum to Sacramento's anti-war movement, but it has also helped the entire community recognize that the tide has shifted. As the number of participants continues to grow, so will the media's interest in covering the subjects of our concern. Let's show them how we feel!

Again, please forward this to others, and bring your friends, banners and signs to 16th & Broadway on Saturday.
