LORI BERENSON: Convicted by an Image
This short documentary tells the story of Lori Berenson, a U.S. born citizen who has been sentenced to twenty years in a Peruvian jail for her work helping the poor people of Peru.
LA NOCHE DE LOS LAPICES
This film captures the story of a group of high school students who were kidnapped by the Argentinian military junta in 1976 and imprisoned. Only one of them survived the concentration camp to tell the story. This film is in Spanish and has no subtitles -- but none are needed to see the terrible drama develop. This film was made in 1989.
Antonio will facilitate discussions after the films and explain any anomalies.
Before and after the film, everyone's invited to indulge in our Humanist Coffee House
The Films are FREE but $5 donations are accepted
