Anti-War Protest Sat. Sept. 10: Don't Let Sacramento Become Another New Orleans!
Don't miss this huge anti-war rally at 16th & Broadway in Sacramento on Saturday. In light of the huge loss of life and destruction of homes and businesses in New Orleans, Biloxi and throughout the Gulf States resulting from the Bush regime's inaction, it is important more than ever that we do everything we can to expose Bush's crimes against the people of Iraq and the U.S. These people are not "refugees," they are fellow Americans who are now homeless because of Bush's failure to act in time - and because of Bush's diversion of millions of dollars from levee repair to the war in Iraq and the Department of Homeland Security.
Remember, Sacramento is the city in the United States that most closely resembles New Orleans in being subject to destruction by levee failure. If the levees broke in the event of a huge storm, the loss of life and property would be enormous in the Capital City.
The case of Hurricane Katrina shows you what happens when a government that doesn't care about its people - only about enriching corporations and killing people in senseless illegal wars - is in power. Bush must be driven from office by a huge outpouring of popular resistance in the streets.
I hope to see you at this rally, being coordinated by Stephen and Virginia Pearcy, two wonderful, truly patriotic anti-war activists.

Hello everyone:
Back by overwhelming demand! This Saturday, September 10th, from 6:00 pm to
8:30 pm, we'll hold a major peace rally at 16th & Broadway.
As before, the primary purpose of this rally is to publicly express
displeasure about the war and the administration's failure to bring it to an
end. There is an important additional purpose to our Saturday rally: to
express our disapproval over the administration's bungled response to the
hurricane victims.
As the death toll mounts in Iraq due to Bush's incompetence as
commander-in-chief, his blundering oversights of federal administrations
such as FEMA are now just as apparent. Out of the vast numbers of reports
from the southern states following last week's hurricane, we are learning
just how vulnerable the president has left his fellow citizens in the US.
Please come out this Saturday to show others in our community that we are
outraged by the president's actions (and inactions) and that the others in
our community who feel the same way are not alone.
Our numbers at Broadway have grown remarkably over the last several weeks
(~350 last time). Many people have recently come out to participate for the
first time ever! This has not only brought credibility to Sacramento's
anti-war movement, but it has also helped the entire community recognize
that the tide has shifted. As the number of participants continues to grow,
so will the media's interest in covering the subjects of our concern. Let's
continue to show them how we feel!
Again, please forward this to others, and bring your friends, banners and
signs to 16th & Broadway on Saturday.

We all are told not to worry, the countless dams that encircle the Sacto Valley are completely safe. The Sac Bee ran an article soon after the New Orleans tragedy quoting the Sheriff saying he had off road experience and would transport the flooded residents of Sacramento safely to the hills. Just like the ever effective FEMA did in New Orleans. Wait, are we here to rescue people or should we just shoot them for getting water and food from abandoned stores without using their credit cards. Well, both Lousiana Governor Blanco and President Bush said we should "Shoot to kill." Lock and load, boys..
Let's see, first Sir Arnold gets brought to safety in his fleet of HUMvees, then the rest of the capitol politicians, than the corporate execs, then the wealthy European americans living in their gated communities, then finally the lower income folks and people of color sitting on top of their roofs dipping their toes in the rising water..
other cities completely safe from flooding;
Redding won't be covered in water if Shasta Dam fractures. There's absolutely no seismic activity anywhere near there. That large pile of rocks called Mt. Shasta isn't really a volcano, it's just decoration put there for the tourists. The magnitude 4.4 earthquake in Burney in the year 2000 was also a hoax thought up by radical ecoterrorists..
more info on the Burney earthquake in 2000 that was really a salmon lovin' ecoterrorist plot to overthrow his royal highness King Bush..

Forget about Oroville being at risk. The earthquake in 1975 wasn't really an earthquake, it was a hoax thought up by communist Hugo Chavez in an attempt to frighten agribusiness capitalists away from the valley..
more on the silly Oroville earthquake hoax here, probably a commie pinko website;

Just listen to the most enlightened Pat Robertson and pray for Rapture to come. Then we'll all be converted to Christianity or we'll just burn in the eternal dam nation, or nation of the dammed. Dammed salmon lovin' ecoterrorists..
Support your President Bush, he really didn't know that global warming would cause severe hurricanes. Pat Robertson said Americans would be punished for being heathens and having sex, so doesn't it follow that New Orleans is being punished by God? After all, there's no such thing as global warming, it is a hoax thought up by environmentalists to stop consumers from purchasing SUVs and supporting the liberation of Iraq's petroelum to Dick Cheney's pockets..
BTW, sarcasm feels reeeeeally good sometimes..
