Hurricane Katrina has blazed a trail of destruction throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Many of the survivors are homeless and in need of food, safe drinking water, and medical care. Join the DeFrank Center and Rainbow World Fund for a mixer and fundraiser at Deep Restaurant in downtown San Jose. No host appetizers and drinks will be available.
Rainbow World Fund (RWF) has established a fund for donations to help the survivors of Katrina. Donations through RWF will go to America's Second Harvest (ASH), the nation's food bank network. 100% of the funds you donate to the RWF Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund will go toward helping the survivors recover.
Founded in 2000, the Rainbow World Fund is an LGBTQ&A organization working to help people who suffer from hunger, poverty, disease, oppression and war by raising awareness and funds to support existing relief efforts around the world. RWF accomplishes this by mobilizing the LGBT community.
The Rainbow World Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
