There's at least one raccoon living in
the Tenderloin district of San Francisco.
On the night of 10 August 2005,
he or she tried to enter the fifth floor of Hotel Jefferson
( a residential hotel on Eddy between Hyde and Leavenworth)
-- but soon was chased away.
Was this coon wild,
or a feral pet?
