A co-founder of the international human rights organization Global Exchange and the high-profile women’s peace group CODEPINK, Medea Benjamin has been a tireless advocate for social justice for more than 20 years. She will speak about why the U.S. occupation of Iraq is failing and why we need to push Congress to initiate a resolution of inquiry to determine whether President Bush lied to us to lead us to war.
She is the co-editor with Jodie Evans of the new book, “Stop the Next War Now; Effective Solutions to Violence and Terrorism”, which contains essays by 70 writers, artists, journalists and activists presenting a vision for a world without war.
