Activists Confront Rumsfeld at speech in LA
Approximately 45 people protested Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld appearance at the Beverly Hilton hotel today
The demonstration was organized with only one day’s notice, never the less it was still a success. What activists may have lacked in numbers, was more than made up for in spirit and some direct action by CodePink inside of the hall.
CodePink activists along with others were able to enter the hall and attempted to address the Secretary of Defense directly. A Gold Star mother, who lost her son in Iraq tried to ask the Secretary some questions only to be removed from the hall. In fact anyone in the hall who asked questions or made statements critical of the war was removed by the Secret Service.
Uploaded is video from the event.

Rumsfield has no compassion. he lost it in his climb to power. He is barely human anymore, if in fact he ever was. These men don't care about the guys on the ground. If they did they would adequately equip them with armor for their vehicles and updated arms. Or how about never invading Iraq in the first place and inflicting "collatoral damage" on a civilian urban population. The people fighting us are for the most part residents of the country. If they weren't radicals before they have become so in the face of a brutal, occupying army that is there to seize their oil supply. God help America being led by an insane ruthless posse of liars and crooks.
