Hope for Father Jean-Juste!
There are reports on the radio that
several political prisoners are going to be released soon. If
they do that it will be because of international pressure.

Last week, we asked you to help Father Gerard Jean-Juste, a
jailed Haitian priest and human rights activist. Though he
remains in prison, there is hope! More pressure on the Haitian
government could mean his release - and you can make a
difference by taking action now and sending a letter expressing
your concern to the Haitian government.
On August 2 Father Jean-Juste sent a message asking for your
support:
Dear Friends,
Thanks everybody across the world for all your support. I am
still in prison. Please keep pushing for democracy and human
rights in Haiti - they are feeling it. I went to court today
before Judge Peres-Paul. There are reports on the radio that
several political prisoners are going to be released soon. If
they do that it will be because of international pressure.
Please remember all the people in prison - there are so many
young people here who have never seen a judge. Please keep up
the pressure - democracy will return to Haiti! God bless, GJJ
Please take action now to help secure the release of Father
Jean-Juste:
