Tuesday, August 30 at 7:30 p.m., peace advocate and editor Medea Benjamin will be presenting a new book Stop the Next War Now: Effective Responses to Violence and Terrorism, at Unitarian Universalist Church in Palo Alto.
Stop the Next War Now focuses on how factors like the media and elected politicians create an environment that makes a nation of eager for war. The book aims to educate and reflect on the effectiveness of peace-movement activities and offers hope through shared ideas, action steps, and practical checklists to transition from a culture of violence into one of peace.
Copies of Stop the Next War Now will be available for purchase and signing.
The 7:30 program is free and is sponsored by the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
