THANK YOU!
THE ENTERTAINMENT COMMISSION HEARD YOU!
Thank you to everyone who came out last night to make the Entertainment Commission
meeting such a powerful event.

We made ourselves heard, we got the Commission to agree to move forward with the
complaints, and we stood united as a community.
Hearing the complainants and witnesses all speak together made a devastating
impression on everyone present. It was impossible not to be moved. And it was
impossible not to be outraged when a Badlands employee was caught trying to lie to
the Commission.
We've always had the facts and the laws on our side, and today we're one step closer
to getting the City to impose real penalties against Badlands.
This Saturday, the complainants will be entering mediation with Les Natali. It is
our hope that Natali will come prepared to make genuine concessions. In the
meantime, as the Entertainment Commission made clear last night, they will move
forward independent of mediation to consider suspending (or, we hope, revoking)
Natali's entertainment permit.
A special thanks to our allies and members of the community who spoke last night, or
who just showed up to lend your support.
NO PICKET THIS SATURDAY?
MEET AT LYRIC TO SHARE YOUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE
If mediation does take place this Saturday, then we will not picket Badlands as a
gesture of good faith. However, due to popular demand, we will still gather at LYRIC
at 9pm for friendship, food and a discussion about how to create a more inclusive
community. Speakers TBA.
When: Sat. 9pm - ? (no picket if mediation happens)
Where: LYRIC (127 Collingwood)
What: food, community and discussion
