San Mateo Garden Center, 605 Parkside Way, San Mateo. The Garden Center is located next to Beresford Park, at the corner of Parkside Way and Alameda de las Pulgas, one mile south of Hwy. 92. From Hwy. 92 take the Alameda de las Pulgas exit (south), and proceed to Parkside Way. Turn right onto Parkside Way, then left into the Garden Center parking lot.

The Sierra Club, Loma Prieta Chapter is sponsoring a free film event! The event is a potluck /screening, featuring the engaging and inspiring documentary, “Thirst.” Join us for this exciting opportunity to eat and socialize with other activists, as well as learn about the struggle over the privatization of one of our most basic public resources: water.

“Thirst” is a groundbreaking new one hour documentary that tells the story of communities stretching from Stockton, CA, to Cochabamba, Bolivia, to Rajasthan, India which are resisting privatization of their water in order to preserve water as a public trust.
