He is a Canadian with permanent U.S. residency for 40 years. He has driven Veterans For Peace Bus across the country abd back twice in the last year. He also created (http://www.vfproadtrips.org) They are in San Francisco to pick up VFP member Dennis Kyne (http://www.denniskyne.com) He is another Medic 91, Golf War, 15 years of service and recent defendant of New York City/RNC protest related federal charges. Where the police were shown on video tap arresting Dennis. The officer on the witness stand testified that he arrested Dennis after attemped to cause a riot and resisting arrest hitting a policy officer. The only problem with that testimony was that it wasn't true, and only for the fact that Indipendant video crews had taped it from the start to to the handcuffs. And the fact that the guy on the witness stand was not in any of the video. All Charges on Dennis were droped after the tape showed that deniss had done nothing illegal. The fact that the cop lied and that the court allowed his purgery to go unpunished has yet to be resolved.
This new bus and people have the capability to on the web. When they in range of wireless access areas they will post updates to the site and chat with sponsor and online interviews.
They are asking for the publics support of the Veterans For Peace asking the congress to start impeachment of President Bush. They all will be available for interviews by indybay media as well as the commercial press as we hope they still have the freedoms to seak the truth and speak and print it as that is the only true security and the honor our military and our veterans shed their blood for.
Veterans For Peace Call for Congressional Action to Remove George W. Bush from the Office of President of the United States
Who: Veterans For Peace, a national organization of military veterans including men and women from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, the Iraq War, other conflicts and peacetime.
What: A call to congress to impeach George W. Bush and Richard Cheney from the offices of President and Vice-President of the United States, respectively.
Why: In a letter sent to each member of the U.S. House and Senate, Veterans For Peace (VFP) stated that "this administration's war on Iraq, in addition to being increasingly unpopular among Americans, is an unmistakable violation of our Constitution and federal law which you have sworn to uphold.
