damn! there's nothing more exciting than listening to the ronald reagan of stalinism. i can't wait to listen to his speech at the next exciting ANSWER march.

From within WWP he was known as Dick 10' BPecker? Is this true? Does it explain the continuing appeal of stalinism?

The editiors like the rest of the radical communtiy want to know, the truth about Dick and why does Stalinism still have it's proponents? You must be one of the anti semites who just want to brush stalin's killing of jews under the rug. or be an apologist for statist murder cause it is counter revolutionary or the wrong race.

Just tired of all the spam on indybay--I'm not an ANSWER fan, but I'm also not a fan of racist knock knock jokes, repititive "why is the left full of ant-semites" postings and comments, anti-muslim/arab slurs/generalizations/namecalling, ect. I am critical of Israel, like many, but certainly no anti-semite. Just tired of spam floods and pointless one-liners. It just makes folks look like children or crazies.

Uhhh, let's see here. Dick Becker isn't even in WWP. You sound like broken records in an empty hall. Are you so out of touch with reality that you think activists go home and worship dead soviet leaders?

To the above poster: Actually Becker goes home and worships CURRENT killers like Milosevic, Kim Jong Il, Saddam and the fascist Iraq resistance fighters.

A question: If 56% of the population opposes the war-- why has the anti-war movement utterly stalled. I would argue its partially the lack of credibility of the leadership, ANSWER in particular, to lead the movement.

You've got your head completely up your ass if you think other people spending their time organizing anti-war demos stalls the anti-war movement. I'm not saying go grab a stapler and a placard, but don't make stupid comments that make you sound totally uninformed. And when did you do a census to find out this arbitrary statistic %56 of people. did you read it on the same outdated ranty websites that let you somehow know about Richard Becker's personal life? If I want to know the views of WWP or the more current Party for Socialism and Justice I go directly to their newspaper or magazine. Their views are no big secret as you anarchists fantasize like. I know Richard Becker and the rest of the ANSWER organizers probably a lot better than you do and I have my own issues with them. The traditional leftist organizations and unions may be corrupt but they know enough to go out and ORGANIZE people in the public and in the workplace and not in the abyss of your virtual world. Stop reading the internet sites and go talk to some real people! You might find things are not so black and white.

Actually I did read their horrible magazine Socialism and Liberation. I thought their article on Iraq was typical Stainist lying.

One of the lies as I remember was that Iraq was a pluralistic society under Saddam. Their evidence: Tariq Aziz, a christian, was a high up official and spokesman and Saddam had a Shia as the head of the ministery of health. If you believe this sickening lie you should read some very unhidden history about what Saddam's ethnic cleansing of the Kurds, the repression of the Shia, and his total destruction of the Marsh Arab civilization.

PS 56% is a number the anti-war movement is throwing around, I'm certainly willing to entertain other numbers from other sources. Cite another source.
