Anarchist Action Organizing Meeting-This Sunday!
Anarchist Action's Organizing Meeting will be this Sunday at 1 pm--2150 Bryant St. We will be coming up with plans for moving forward in terms of the up-coming September actions, outreach, media, etc.
When: Sunday, July 24. 1-3 pm.
Where: CellSpace--2150 Bryant St. (18th & Bryant).
Anarchist Action is a forum through which groups and individuals can come together to organize mass actions. Each project is organized by an autonomous working group made up of individuals and collectives. We have come together to organize our own forms of resistance based on Anarchist principles. We are a public formation open to other like-minded individuals and groups.

Haven't you done enough damage? Couldn't you just stay away and give it a rest? You don't have the best credibility right now.
Posts like these make me laugh so much. If these aren't posted by cops, then the liberals or others that do post them are doing them a favor.
Anarchist Action is doing great work. They are organizing with workers (Muni Social Strike), working and showing solidarity with groups working against environmental racism, setting up forums to counter state and capital, and are doing a great job.
As they stated in their last communique, AA does not engage in illegal actions, but the people that work through it's medium work to create the structure in which mass mobilizations can take place in which a diversity of tactics can heppen, and people can resist the things that make their lives miserable in a tangiable way. The book for changing the work has yet to be written, we should appauld anarchist action for taking risks, doing good organizing, and showing the rest of us that the bay area doesn't just have to be a ghetto for anarchists, that they can be engaged in their communities in a real and direct way.

It isn't Over After the G8...
September 24, 2005 has been declared a day of action against the war. In DC, United for Peace & Justice has called for a March on Washington DC.
Here in San Francisco, ANSWER has called for a protest beginning in Dolores Park. On that same day, we will hold our own ANTI-CAPITALIST Convergence here in San Francisco.
We will say NO to war, capitalism, and also to authoritarian groups such as ANSWER, who try to take the anti-war movement out of the hands of the people. We will say YES to direct participation of all people and YES to direct action.
What authority does ANSWER have? I’m not trying to be a jackass I would like here an honest answer.

Why not organize a direct action training. Pratice dearresting, occupying spaces, alternative methods of communication, scouting, deesclating and athority avoidance(other than moving so fast you lose half the people or leave worthless piles of shit every where) try flash mobs, blockers, corking or multiple marches. Go banannas, give a rebel yell, sound the alarm let um here the call of the wild.
solidarity.
solidarity.
can anyone report back from the meeting? Some had avoided going because it seemed like one of the police officers would at least try to come and see who is there. On one level, breaking up into groups that work on projects without the AA name for a while would make sense.
Also, if you are going to practice 'street tactics' as opposed to being like MoveOn or Dailykos democrats who talk about their framing of the message and big picture strategy, it makes sense to consider legal issues. In the post above, he threw in dearrest in with other things. Even if you consider that to be important, you should know what the police could charge you with, and are even hoping you will do. For instance, battery on an officer would include light shoving or pushing them on the arm, and this would automatically be a felony, whereas the principal at your school probably wouldn't call police to register misdemeanor charges against a bully who caused a nosebleed or big bruise. 'lynching' means trying to take a detained person from police, and you should be aware that it's a felony, even if it's in a mild form. So don't try to lightly tug your friend away from an officer, and then give up and stand there nearby watching. You would need to know what you're doing and be successful, or leave the scene.
