SANTA ROSA, Calif. Police say a Santa Rosa man died yesterday after fighting with officers who'd been called to his home.
Authorities say 31-year-old Carlos Casillas Fernandez struggled with five police officers who eventually tried to subdue him with stun guns and pepper spray.

Officers were called to Fernandez' home after his wife called police to report the man may be under the influence of drugs and was acting strangely. He struggled with police for about 10 minutes before he was hit with the stun guns and pepper spray.

As Fernandez was finally restrained, officers noticed he was having difficulty breathing, began CPR and called for an ambulance. He died a short time later at an area hospital. All the officers are on paid administrative leave while the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department investigates the case.
