PPJC - Movie Screening of the Beatles' "The Yellow Submarine" and Ice Cream Social

by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center (ppjc [at] peaceandjustice.org)
On Friday, July 29, at 7:00pm, PPJC will be holding an Ice Cream Social and Movie Screening at Unitarian Hall
The ice cream social will feature the classic Beatles movie "The Yellow Submarine", with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and Paul Angelis as the Chief Blue Meanie:

The Blue Meanies have taken over Pepperland! The have banned music, happiness, and love. Thrill to the exploits of Captain Fred and the boys from Liverpool as they try to wrest control of Pepperland back from the evil Republicans… er, we mean, from the Blue Meanies!

Yahoo! Family Movie Reviewer says: "This movie is a pleasure for the eye, ear, and heart, featuring spectacular animation, gorgeous music (including the title song, 'When I’m 64,' 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,' 'All Together Now', and the lovely 'Sea of Time,' written by longtime Beatle collaborator George Martin), witty wordplay (lots of puns and some sly political satire), and a sweet story with a nonviolent happy ending."

PPJC will also be taking donations during the event so please show your support and make a contribution to the organization.
