New Documentary Exposes Egg Production Cruelty

case.png"

Wegmans Cruelty is a new half-hour documentary produced by New York-based Compassionate Consumers. Organization members contacted Wegmans Food Markets to try to hold some meaningful dialogue about the conditions at Wegmans Egg Farm, and were then misled and dismissed by Wegmans representatives. The team set out to capture actual footage inside the farm and create a film based on their experience.

Visit www.wegmanscruelty.com to learn about the new investigation.

If Whole Foods and Wild Oats Can Go Cage-Free, Why Can't Trader Joe's?

egg1untitled1.jpg"

Trader Joe's, like Whole Foods Market and Wild Oats Natural Marketplaces, shares a desire to sell wholesome, organic products. But Trader Joe's, unlike its competitors, still sells eggs from battery-cage hens. Both Whole Foods and Wild Oats have pledged not to sell whole eggs from birds confined in battery cages, which are usually so cramped that a hen cannot spread her wings or move around freely. Trader Joe's has historically shown sensitivity both for the suffering of farm animals and for customers who want farm animals to be treated a little more humanely, but to date the chain refuses to sell only cage-free eggs.

Ask Trader Joe's to stop selling eggs from confined hens.

That vegan and hemp stuff being hawked is expensive! Is this network legit, or is this a marketing ploy by the website this newsletter advertizes?
