Take Action: CONTACT THE PRISON
by IRRN Tuesday, Jul. 05, 2005 at 11:53 AM

Without notice to his family and attorney, Native American political prisoner Leonard Peltier was moved to Terre Haute, Indiana, Thursday June 30th, 2005. He has been placed in solitary confinement indefinitely.
It is basic procedure to keep transferred inmates in the hole while processing takes place, however the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee does not know how long that will take. They are asking anyone and everyone to get on the phones and get out their pens and paper. Let's flood with calls, e-mails and letters regarding Leonard! Urge the prison to allow Leonard to contact his family as soon as possible. Ask how he is, ask where to write, ask if he's OK, ask about his health, his privileges (phones, letters, visits, religious rights, ability to paint, etc.)
Let the prison know that the entire world is watching and is concerned about Leonard.

You need to include his registration number when you inquire.
#89637-132
