Some photos from the Dyke March

by Mahtin (themahtin at hotmail.com)
Some photos from the dyke march, in which tens of thousands of women-loving-women (and some ex-women) took to the streets

I have more photos which I will hopefully post soon...of drag kings and sistahs in the pit and lots of dyke sexual innuendo t-shirts

I was really bored at the beginning, but I have to say that even though these marches are so, so repetitive, it is inspiring to see all these beautiful people who have so much in common.

We are not for male consumption. Please take that final comment off the Dyke March photos, about straight men liking what they see. We are here for OURSELVES and each other; as Dykes and as women. There is no other time of the year we are honored as the Dykes we are.
Being as I'm in one of the photos, I would appreciate that, and thanks for taking such good photos of us.

This was my first year ever hearing or attending the dyke march. I am soo happy that I was able to go. For once in my life I felt a sense of community. I only wish this march would happen for more than one day a year in california. Thanx for posting the pictures of all the beautiful and handsome women who were there. Wishing you all the best!

with your negative comments.

"any kind of pride celebration that I have ever seen"

what kind of pride celebration have you EVER seen? Was any form of tolerance or acceptance of diversity involved? Doubt it. This is what San Francisco is all about. So you have a choice. You can either try to learn something about people who are different from you, or you can continue to stew in your ignorance.

Cheers to all the marchers- you're beautiful!

so back off
by HOW SCARY
so sorry to hear about your annual Labor Day Gay party being ruined by New Orleans being flooded. Maybe an eartquake will strike San Fran soon and then the two most wicked cities in the USA will be wiped out. 2 for 2. Not bad.
by Dykes and Levies
If the Dykes were in New Orleans, they could have stopped the flooding, like the Dykes in Holland.
