Egg Carton Claims Not Always What They're Cracked Up to Be Special Report by The Humane Society of the United States
The vast number of consumer labels affixed to egg cartons can leave a shopper feeling as dazed and confused as a laying hen in a battery cage. One carton may label its eggs "Natural." Another may call them "Free Range," while yet another may claim its eggs are "Certified Organic." How are compassionate consumers supposed to know what these labels and claims really mean?

Whether you are an aspiring author or veteran writer, EBAA is looking volunteers to sign-up for our newly-formed Advocacy Author Group. By writing letters-to-the-editor, the Advocacy Author Group is designed to increase public visibility of humane issues and create opportunities for individuals to develop advocacy skills right from your computer.
EBAA would like to introduce you to our Advocacy Author Coordinator—Valarie Ianniello. As a 33-year-old actress residing in Los Angeles, Valarie is putting her passion for helping animals to work through virtual volunteerism with EBAA.
