Celebrate Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Pride month with Radical Women! Socialist feminist and queer activist Amy Gray discusses the key role that women and the LGBTQ community play in beating back the religious zealots currently intent on inacting misogynist, homophobic beliefs into law.
While the U.S. ecomony worsens, Christian fundamentalists from the White House on down are the first to point the finger of blame at single mothers, gays who want to marry, immigrants, Muslims and political dissenters. But the good news is that those hit the hardest have the best ideas for what needs to change. Bring your suggestions for uniting the targets of emboldened fascistic theocrats and exposing the corporate interests that the religious right defends.
A fabulous homemade meal, with vegetarian option, will be served at 6:15pm for a $6.50 donation. The meeting takes place at New Valencia Hall, 1908 Mission St. in San Francisco (one block from the 16th St./Mission BART station and on the #14 and #49 MUNI lines).
