MPP Demands RIM "Move Heaven and Earth" to Defend Chairman Gonzalo

UNKNOWN, June 21 — (Al-Masakin) The Peru People’s Movement (MPP)—the generated organism of the Communist Party of Peru (Sendero Luminoso)—has recently released a communiqué which demands the member parties of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement (RIM) and the supporters of the RIM, the PCP and Chairman Gonzalo “move heaven and earth” to defend the life of the greatest living Marxist of the face of the Earth—Chairman Gonzalo.

In recent communiqués published by Red Sun, the MPP underscored the strategic importance of Chairman Gonzalo’s leadership to the international proletariat: “[Because] today we have a militarized Communist Party, [a] Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Gonzalo thought [Party], a victorious people’s war, [and] a New Power—where our new red flag of the proletariat is hoisted defiantly before the enemy. It is President Gonzalo who has given us the most another revolutionary outpost in the world.”

In 1999 the MPP criticized the CoRIM and the reactionary snake Bob Avakian who heads it for deactivating the campaign to defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo. Saying inter alia, “The campaign to 'Move heaven and earth to defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo!’ a campaign that began immediately after the capture of Chairman

Gonzalo in September 1992, and the great work of the Emergency Committee to defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo has carried out, have been warmly greeted by our Party. But it is also a fact that this campaign has been completely deactivated at an international level, even though some of it continues at a local level. How is it possible, we ask ourselves, that the campaign to defend the greatest living Marxist-Leninist-Maoist on the face of the Earth has been deactivated?”

The Avakian clique began disseminating CIA manufactured propaganda as early as 1994 that claimed that Chairman Gonzalo had signed a peace accord. Acting on this hoax Avakian told the RCP in 1996 “We can no longer support Chairman Gonzalo, because he signed a peace accord.” Insinuating that Chairman Gonzalo was a “revisionist and a capitulationist. Chairman Gonzalo’s live appearance on Nov. 5, 2004 dashed Avakian’s black dreams when Chairman Gonzalo raised his fist in a defiant revolutionary salute and exclaimed “Glory to Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. MPP activist steadfastly held to the political line of the 1st Congress of the PCP and demanded that Chairman Gonzalo be presented live and direct before the international media and that he be allowed to speak. If Chairman Gonzalo had signed such a document, then why couldn’t he tell us himself? After this the Avakian clique began hoping Chairman Gonzalo was actually dead.

Wow. A blast from the past.

There is nothing like a good old Maoist catfight to get the masses to spring into action. I can hear the "East is Red" now and a huge image of Chairman Mao being carried on the banners of the masses.

wow... it seems whoever wrote this article is telepathic because apparently they know what people are thinking and hoping.

Just for info the RCP had an add "Defend the life of Chairman Gonzalo" in every issue of their newspaper until just recently.

Gonzalo may have signed a peace treaty, and if he did, probably was tortured and coerced into doing it.

I suspect this article is some kind of the P-I-G propaganda designed to cause factionalism among the maoists...IT ISN'T WORKING!

I don't get ivnolved in inter Maoist struggles, not beigna Maoist, but i think an example fot he point is the fact that when the RW was changed to Revolution that they no longer had the "Defend Chairman Gonzalo" line in it.\

“Without struggle it is not possible to clarify and without clarifying it is not possible to go forward with success, it is not possible to achieve a solid unity. Those who are struggling today are in no way destroying unity. Unity has already ceased to exist, it is broken in all its aspects. . . Open and direct struggle is one of the necessary conditions to restore unity.”
