The pro-medical marijuana Hinchey/Rohrabacher amendment is
expected to happen on Tuesday, June 13 (tomorrow). In the wake
of Monday's Supreme Court ruling in the Angel Raich medical
marijuana case, it is crucial that positive progress in the
number of members of Congress voting for medical marijuana be
shown.

Please visit http://stopthedrugwar.org/medicalmarijuana/ today
to contact Congress in support of the Hinchey/Rohrabacher
amendment, and please forward this appeal as widely as you can
-- this is one of the most important votes on drug policy reform
taking place in 2005.

Sincerely,

Dear MPP supporter:

According to MPP's records, you have not yet e-mailed your Congressperson to ask him
or her to vote for the medical marijuana amendment that the U.S. House of
Representatives will be voting on tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon or evening.

If you're going to send only one e-mail this year to stop the war on medical
marijuana users, now is the time. Please take one minute to visit
http://www.kintera.org/TR.asp?ID=M69373428093562315605165&af=y to use MPP's easy
online system to generate a fax or e-mail to your representative now.

It's crucial that you take action now, because Congress is voting tomorrow on an
amendment, introduced by U.S. Reps. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) and Dana Rohrabacher
(R-CA), that would bar the U.S. Justice Department -- which includes the DEA -- from
raiding, arresting, and prosecuting patients who are using medical marijuana in the
10 states where it's legal.

If you agree that sick and suffering patients should not have to live in fear of
armed federal agents breaking down the patients' doors to take away their medicine,
this is your chance to do something about it. Please visit
http://www.kintera.org/TR.asp?ID=M69373428093562315605165&af=y to send your message
to Congress now.

PLEASE HELP TODAY.

As of noon today, more than 6,000 subscribers on this e-mail list had sent letters
to their Congresspersons. MPP's goal is to send 10,000 letters to Congress by the
time of the vote -- which will be in approximately 24 hours -- but we won't be able
to achieve that goal without your help. You must let your U.S. representative know
that this vote is important to you.

This is your last chance to speak out before Congress votes tomorrow, so if you've
read this far and still haven't clicked on the link to send a message to your
Congressperson, please do so now:

Thanks so much,
