Friday night: San Jose Copwatch

Please join us for Community Copwatch in San Josè this Friday, 10th June. We meet at Centro Aztlan Chicomoztoc located at 520 South 2nd Street, between William and Reed Street. Centro Aztlan Chicomoztoc is on the left side of the street (2nd street is a one way street going south.)

We meet at 9:30pm, please come on time if you haven't come before for a small training before we go out. We usually go out on the streets at 10:00pm and copwatch until about midnight or 1:00am. Please join us for as long as you can. If you have a video camera, bring it.

The cops are not only harassing Mexicans, Latinos, Africans, Indigenous people and especially the youth with impunity. They are continuing to kill, Samuel Martinez was murdered on 26th May.

Friday nights in downtown San Josè is a nightmare, the cops shut down public streets, stop youth for no reason, search them, fingerprint them, take their pictures, search their clothes and bodies, search their cars. It is a police state for Mexicans, Latinos, Africans, Indigenous, Asian, Arab and Muslim people in San Jose. We need to put the cops on notice that we are watching them and we will not accept this kind of behavior.
