Governor of California to give commencement speech at Santa Monica College. After months of protest and pleas from both students and faculty not to schedule the governator. The president and the board of trustees of SMC have gone ahead despite the objections.

(corner of Pico & 17th St), Santa Monica

The absurdity of a governor who is cutting funding for education speaking at a graduation ceremony is an insult that should not go on without protest.

Students and the local community are working to form a statewide collation to protest this.
