16 Year Anniversary of Tian An Men Crackdown On democracy Movement
Tens of thousands of people held a vigil in Hong Kong to mark the 16th anniversary of China's bloody crackdown on pro-democracy demonstrations in Tiananmen Square.
Hong Kong was the only place in China that was allowed to hold such a memorial on Saturday. In the rest of the country, especially the Beijing square where soldiers killed hundreds of protesters in 1989, security was tighter than usual.
