Monsour Monsour, Palestinian organizer from the Village of Bid¹du speaking
on nonviolent resistance to the Apartheid Wall, accompanied by Kate
Raphael¹s video footage from the area.

An Imam leads the people of Biddu in noon prayers in village farmland
destroyed for the Wall's path. In the background can be seen the Israeli
settlement of Giv'on Hahadasha.

In the last year, a powerful nonviolent movement has arisen in Palestinian
villages losing their land to the separation wall. Monsour Monsour is one of
the leading organizers in the small village of Bid¹du, near Ramallah, where
five Palestinians have died in ongoing nonviolent demonstrations. Mansour
studied radio and broadcasting at nearby Bir Zeit University until
oppression from the apartheid wall and Occupation severed the resources
needed to continue his education. He has worked as an activist with ISM (the
International Solidarity Movement).
Monsour is wonderful, wry, funny, committed, dedicated and is a great
spokesperson for the nonviolent resistance in Palestine.

Kate Raphael has spent most of the past 3 years living in the West Bank ,
working as an international, nonviolent activist and documenting Palestinian
resistance to the Occupation.
