Sacramento Pride is about celebrating and obtaining our freedoms and equal rights. It’s also about being proud of who we are – educating the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) community that they are not alone and that it is OK to be who they are – and educating the greater community that we are people no different than they are – deserving respect and equal treatment.

2005 Pride Theme: Equal Rights - No More - No Less!

Sacramento Pride is the oldest and largest LGBTI pride event in Sacramento. Started in 1984 as the Lambda Freedom Fair, this year marks the 22nd annual LGBTI Fair and the first year as Sacramento Pride. This year a parade has been added, the first in over 22 years.

Sacramento Pride is the primary source of income for the Lambda Community Fund which operates the Lambda Community Center. ALL money raised at Pride goes to support the Fund for the following year. This allows us to provide resources and programs to the community. For more information on the programs that are sponsored by the Center, click here.

Sacramento Pride (formerly known as the Rainbow Freedom Fair) and parade is Saturday June 11, 2005. http://www.sacpride.org
