Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution Film Series. A scholarship fund-raiser for: The 16th World Festival of Youth and Students in Caracas, Venezuela

Two films:

Venezuela Bolivariana: People and Struggle of the Fourth World War. By Marcelo Andrade and the "Calle y Media" Collective. This 76 min documentary examines the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela as connected to the world-wide
movement against capitalist globalization. The film shows the evolution of the popular movement in Venezuela from the "Caracazo" riots of 1989 to the massive actions that brought revolutionary president Hugo Chavez back to power, 48 hours after a U.S.-led military coup in 2002.

Chávez, Venezuela & the New Latin America / Chávez: "Un hombre que anda por ahí" This film captures Aleida Guevara’s extensive interview with Hugo Chavez Frias, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The interview explores Venezuela’s explosive revolutionary terrain and explains his vision for Venezuela and his commitment to a unified Latin America.
