Another Dog Protest at Main Campus of UCSF

Date:
Wednesday, May 25, 2005
Time:
10:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Event Type:
Protest
Organizer/Author:
Michelle T
Location Details:
UCSF (MAIN CAMPUS)
513 PARNASSUS AVE.
San Francisco.

First of all, thank you so much for coming last time to the dog protest. We managed to get aired on at least one TV station. However, the story did not get on print on any English language newspaper. So it would be worth a try to get the dogs' terrible plight on paper for history's sake.

Therefore, before UCSF's students and staff leave for summer break, we plan to have another dog protest. This time it will be held at the MAIN CAMPUS of UCSF (a different location), on May 25, Wednesday, at 10 A.M. The address is 513 PARNASSUS AVE.., San Francisco. Would you be able to take a morning off to go with your doggie? (If you don't have a dog, please come anyway.) Perhaps some of us could call in sick? Just like last time, we need a confirmed count of both people and pooches. We will provide signs again. This may well be my last attempt at organizing this.

Please RSVP as soon as you can. There will be parking garages nearby and a cafeteria right across the street. (It is a busy street, so please be sure your dog(s) stay with you on the sidewalk and do not run into the street.)

Dr. Katz of In Defense of Animals will be there again and hopefully we can get some more media attention. (I will not talk to any reporters this time, because I was rather awful last time. So Dr. Katz will handle that part.) We just need a good showing again.

If you let me know you can come, I will keep you posted if there are any last minute changes.
