BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
THE TAKE, directed by Avi lewis and Naomi Klein, returns to the Red Vic for a 4 day run. In the wake of Argentine's spectacular economic collapse in 2001, Latin America's most prosperous middle class finds itself in a ghost town of abandoned factories and mass unemployment. In suburban Buenos Aires, 30 unemployed auto-parts workers walk into their idle factory and refuse to leave. All they want is to restart the silent machines. But this simple act - "the take" - threatens to turn the globalization debate on its head.
Fri & Mon: 7:15, 9:15; Sat & Sun: 2:00, 4:00, 7:15, 9:15
