On the afternoon of June 18th, Intersection for the Arts is shutting down the street in front of our building and throwing a huge community event featuring live music, art, poetry, and performance celebrating four powerful decades of alternative art in San Francisco. More than 100 artists will perform, exhibit and celebrate with us including Robert Moses, Keith Hennessy, Jessica Hagedorn, Beth Lisick, B-Glam, Kitchen Sink, A Traveling Jewish Theatre, Fresh Meat Productions, The Foundry, Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble, Ntozake Shange, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Denis Johnson, devorah major, Ellen Sebastian Chang, Marc Vogl, Tim Barsky, Bantercut Strategy, the Erika Shuch Performance Project, Marcus Shelby Jazz Trio, Peter Plate, Howard Wiley, Leslie Scalapino, Felonious, The Supplicants, WritersCorps, Word for Word, Youth Speaks, and more. This exciting day also includes the public opening of the highly anticipated building-wide Blueprints Exhibition.
