BIKE 2 WORK Day
Thursday, May 19, it's Bike to Work Day, sponsored by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. Occasional cyclists join regular commuters to enjoy the pleasures of pedaling to work, and help realize a car-free city. SFBC sets up 20 stations around the city where volunteers hand out coffee, breakfast treats, and SFBC shwag to the estimated 50,000 participants. After you clock out for the day, head to the "Bike away from Work" party for cocktails. Get into the activist spirit by volunteering with the SFBC to stop the Golden Gate Bridge bicycle and pedestrian toll.
