Fans from Santa Cruz to Sacramento bring lawn chairs and blankets to gather for a weekend of fables, ballads, legends, and ghost stories. Nationally renowned storytellers bring the storytelling traditions of Africa, Asia, the Pacific islands, Europe, and the Americas to the outdoor stages of Kennedy Grove. This year, the invited storytellers include Willy Claflin, Donald Davis, Eth-Noh-Tec, Dovie Thomason Sickles, and Diane Ferlatte.
Turn off your electronic devices and engage your imagination with stories from these practioners of the long neglected art of oral storytelling. Appropriate for ages 9 to adult.
$11 single event, $55 all weekend pass.
Discounts for children, seniors.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, $5 for parking, and a picnic lunch or dinner.
