This week: environmental headlines, followed by an interview with Dr. Robert Ovetz of the Sea Turtle Restoration Project. Robert talks about how corporate-led globalization is not only creating environmental chaos from non-native species invasions, but it is also responsible for what he calls an "environmental trade deficit," which contains the hidden costs of economic "externalities." Also discussed are the health effects of toxic materials used in packaging and in products themselves, particularly on children.
Also in this segment is a clip of the song "Didn't We" by the incomparable Jim Page. http://www.jimpage.net
