Picketers needed for Badlands Protests
> Hi
> Last week's three-hour picket of Badlands was incredible. We turned a
> lot of customers away. We had some great discussions with bar-goers.
> We energized 18th street with our chants.

> The struggle isn't over. Yes, Badlands was found guilty by the city
> Human Rights Commission of discrimination against African Americans
> and women (check out the full report at http://www.andcastroforall.org).
Yes,
> the Human Rights Commission has no enforcement power. So unless we
are
> out there week after week, the local Entertainment Commission and the
> state ABC may never do anything to address this serious issue.
> We are also out there to educate our own community and to let folks
> know that we won't stand for bigotry within the Castro.
Discrimination
> is never acceptable--anywhere. Silence allows discrimination to
> continue. We will never be silent.
> JOIN US Friday and Saturday nights outside Badlands, 18th between
> Castro and Collingwood, 10pm-midnight or beyond. PLEASE let me [Tommi
> Avicolli Mecca] know if you can be there. I am recruiting ten people
> to meet me at the picket. Last week we had 75-100 people, including
> allies from Mission Agenda and Supervisor Chris Daly.
> FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS, 10pm, outside Badlands, 18th between
> Castro and Collingwood, bring friends, lovers, family.

No turnout for your nonsense? Tough, ain't it? The community does not support your railroading your agenda. Most people ignored you, and will continue to do so. You have NO proof of illegal discrimination. I'm so sorry you don't feel "included". "Inclusive" is not a requirement under constitutional law. If you don't like Badlands, then don't go there. Plenty of room for those of us who refuse to be intimidated by your PC crap.
You say there's no proof. Did you read the HRC report?
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
