McLibel film to open in SF May 27th
McLibel will open on May 27th in San Francisco. It will open at a Landmark theatre, but not sure which one yet. It is basically about how animal rights protesters were arrested in the U.K. for protesting outside Mc Donald's.
Note from Richard Castro, Head of Outreach & Special Distribution, Cinema Libre Studio:
This truly is a wonderful film and because we have such a miniscule ad budget, we need all the grassroots help that we can get. So far, KPFA, Global Exchange, and CodePINK want to help. I think with Pacifica, some independent internet and newpapers, and a lot of grassroots organizations, we should be able to attract huge crowds to the theatre.
