"The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear"
Written and narrated by Adam Curtis, “The Power of Nightmares” has as its thesis that the threat of international terrorism has been exaggerated by politicians. “In an age when all the grand ideas have lost credibility, fear of a phantom enemy is all the politicians have to maintain their power,” he says. Fans of “Fahrenheit 9/11” will recognize this insight, but unlike Michael Moore, Adam Curtis is a scholar not interested in laughs. Mr. Curtis is also the filmmaker of the BBC documentary, "The Century of the Self."

[This film is a 3-part documentary made for BBC. Each segment is 55 mins. All 3 segments will be shown.]

This presentation is co-sponsored with Celebrating Solutions!
