OAKLAND IS NOT FOR SALE!
WE WANT BENEFITS FOR THE COMMUNITY, FINANCED BY THE DEVELOPERS!

6PM, MEETING 5/3 TUESDAY
The proposed 16th & Wood Street project in West Oakland will reshape the face of our community. The developer proposed 1,500 market rate units to be built non-union with no affordable housing and even proposed demolishing the baggage wing of the train station. City Officials and developers must be accountable. They must ensure that history is preserved and protected. The Coalition consists of community, labor, and environmental groups spearheaded by local West Oakland residents. The Coalition envisions development that includes:
ï¾· affordable housing for local residents
ï¾· local prevailing wage jobs
ï¾· full preservation and renovation of historical and cultural landmarks
ï¾· environmental remediation (air quality, traffic congestion)
We need your support in this campaign, and ask that you join us at the Tuesday, May 3rd Oakland City Council meeting
