The Real Dirt on Farmer John is the award winning documentary by San Francisco filmmaker Taggart Siegel. It is the story of a midwestern farmer who struggles to save his family farm amidst a failing economy, vicious local rumors and arson. Farmer John bravely transforms his farm into a bastion of free expression and one of the largest organic Community Supported Agriculture farms in the United States.

Won Audience Awards at Slamdance Film Festival, Wisconsin Film Festival, Chicago International Documentary Festival, and the Inspiration Film Festival. Won Jury awards at Nashville Film Festival, Wisconsin Film Festival and Inspiration Film Festival.
