Students & Teachers Rally outside Schwarzenegger's SF Offices
Delivering another big punch before Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger releases the May Revise of his proposed California budget, CSU students and faculty members and supporters from other schools and other teachers' unions rallied outside his offices in San Francisco and Fresno and his restaurant in Santa Monica today.
And even more demonstrated outside a steel plant in Fontana where Schwarzenegger was speaking.
“The governor’s proposed budget doesn’t even begin to address the true needs of the CSU, its students, faculty and staff,” said CFA President John Travis.
More than 15,000 students could not find a space in the CSU in 2004/05 because of budget cuts and enrollment management. Those who could enroll found it not only more expensive but more difficult to get classes.
