Brass band leads protest march at
Berkeley People's Park birthday party

In Berkeley, several nudes participated in the 36th anniversary celebration at People's Park,
on Sunday, 24 April 2005. A clothed artist created an excellent bodypainting on the front and back sides of nude Debbie Moore, founder of the X-plicit Players.
Later, several male nudes and at least one topfree woman joined Moore and many clothed persons in a peace march from the park to the nearby UC-Berkeley campus ROTC, and back. Marchers were led by the Brass Liberation Orchestra (BLO), a small but spirited brass band.


Tree-huggers asked the partiers to attend the ongoing federal trial, in San Francisco, of a case where sheriff's deputies did a cruel form of face-painting -- by painting teargas on the cheeks of chained protesters, just below their eyes, in the office of a right-wing Congressman.
