AB 19: Assembly Judiciary Hearing
Tuesday, April 26th 9:00am
Room 4202 at the State Capitol

Join EQCA chapter members for a massive Marriage Equality Caravan, Carpool and Car
Decorating rally on Tuesday morning, April 26th, before heading up together to the
State Capitol for the Assembly Judiciary Hearing on AB 19: The Religious Freedom and
Civil Marriage Protection Act. Please RSVP if we can expect you!

San Francisco/San Mateo folks will meet around the Harvey Milk Plaza block
(intersection of Castro and Market) at 6am. Coffee donated by Starbucks will be
served. (Please let us know if you have seats available in your car or whether you
need a ride.)

Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Solano folks etc. will meet at 6:45am at the
Solano Mall's Starbucks, 1450 Travis Boulevard in Fairfield. Take the Travis Blvd
East exit off of Interstate 80 West. At the second light you'll see a Baja Fresh
restaurant and Starbucks- turn left and pull into the mall parking lot.

Yolo, Nevada, Yuba, Sutter, San Joaquin, Sacramento folks will meet up on foot in
front of the West Steps of the Capitol at 7:45 am where the Marriage Equality
Caravan will roll in together and pose with our decorated cars in front of the
Capitol.

We'll have temporary wax pens for writing on car windows “Support AB 19”
“Support Marriage Equality” “eqca.org” “Equal Love Equal Rights” and make
quite a sight as we caravan up together as a team with lights on, cars decorated
from SF to Fairfield to the State Capitol.

We are hoping to pack the room with supporters and encourage you to attend if you
can get to the Sacramento area. The hearing will be in Room 4202 of the State
Capitol beginning at 9 A.M.. If you're not able to attend, you can watch the hearing
online with Windows Media Player at http://www.calchannel.com/webcast.htm.

Please be a part of celebrating this historic moment in California's civil rights
history. Come network with fellow marriage equality supporters from across No.
California.

We are asking for people to bring a $35 NAACP membership check to deliver en masse
to the NAACP representative as a thank you for their support of AB 19. (This is an
optional gesture.)

Please RSVP so we know to expect you - we expect to pack the seats in the hearing
room, but the opposition probably has similar plans so we need to be early! We'll
form a line at 8am to secure our seats.
