LABOR NIGHT
AT MADE IN PALESTINE
Join us for an evening of Art, Music, and Solidarity
between the the Palestinian and US labor movements

Tuesday, April 19, 6:30 - 9:00 pm
SomArts Cultural Center
934 Brannan Street, SF

Made in Palestine is the first U.S. museum exhibition of the contemporary art of Palestine. It’s a survey of Palestinian artists of the West Bank, Gaza, Israel, and the diaspora.

Labor Night is a reception for the Labor community of the Bay Area. Working families in Palestine face many of the same problems that we do in the U.S.; union busting, lack of healthcare, low wages, and unemployment. We hope that Labor Night will help to link our two struggles, and give our local community a glimpse of the triumphs and tragedies of life in Palestine.

Labor Night Sponsored by the Justice In Palestine Coalition Labor Committee, the Arab American Union Members Council (AAUMC), and the San Francisco Labor Council AFL-CIO.

The event will be moderated by MONADEL HERZALLAH, a San Francisco Bay Area Arab American Labor Activist and coordinator of the Arab American Union Members Council (AAUMC)

Live Arabic Music and Middle Eastern Food
Film about Arab Workers

$3 - $10 suggested donation (no one turned away for lack of funds)

Free Childcare available (please RSVP Brooke 650-218-0625 or jiplaborcommittee@yahoo.com)

Noche Obrera en
Hecho en Palestina
Una noche de Arte, Música y Solidaridad

Martes, 19 de Abril del 2005
6:30-9:00 pm
Cento Cultural SomArts
