Tax Day Protest - April 15 - Main Oakland Post Office

April 15, the deadline for filing our taxes, is a powerful day to speak up for
marriage equality. We need your presence at our rally at the Main Oakland Post
Office, 1675 7th Street (just .3 miles from the West Oakland BART station).

April 15, the deadline for filing our taxes, is a powerful day to speak up for
marriage equality. We need your presence at our rally at the Main Oakland Post
Office, 1675 7th Street (just .3 miles from the West Oakland BART station). People
from all over the area come to drop off their taxes and they will see us there
reminding them that we pay first class taxes for second class citizenship.

This is the event in April. Do your best to join us outside the Post Office from 5
PM- 7 PM or for however long you can make it. We will have plenty of signs for
everyone, but feel free to be creative with your own.

Easy to park and easy by BART. See you Friday!

§Protest The War Too

The biggest issue, by far, is the war and peace issue as we cannot have guns and butter. The military is taking all the money we need for social needs to murder human beings so as to maximize the profits of the munitions makers, oil companies and war profiteers, the only reason the military exists. April 15 should be a National Peace Demonstration at all post offices.

This country is in such an advanced state of decay that we rank 17th in a technology competition. A society that has a weak science and engineering sector is soon not an industrialized society. We are already last in the industrialized world in that we have the lowest life expectancy and highest infant mortality in the industrialized world due to having no national health care system guaranteeing medical care from cradle to grave, free of charge to all, paid for with our tax dollars instead of paying for war.

Our school system is rotten; our public transportation system is almost non-existent, and the qualify of life gets worse as the military eats up all our tax dollars. This should be the main focus of the Tax Day Protests.
