4/10 7:30 a.m. Sunday Helicopters Terrorize Downtown SF

At 7:30 a.m., Sunday morning, April 10, 2005, loud, noisy helicopters hovered illegally low over the Union Square-Tenderloin-Nob Hill workingclass apartment area for about an hour, disturbing the peace and threatening lives. This must be stopped now.
It is unknown if these helicopters were the military, which often marches in and around Union Square as the Marines club is at Post and Mason, or if it was a private contractor.
Since it is usually a private contractor, that means the City of San Francisco gave them a permit to conduct this outrageously noisy and dangerous activity. It is usually construction companies which hire helicopters as they do not want to hire more workers.
No helicopter or plane should fly so low that it can be heard by the residents under or near it.
Nob Hill is like the Mission District, only larger rent-controlled apartment buildings, usually at least 90 years old, with pipes bursting at all hours of the night and day as the landlords only do crisis maintenance, and just now receiving the seismic upgrades mandated by the 1989 earthquake. The overwhelming majority of people on Nob Hill and in its neighbor, the Tenderloin, are workingclass.
Bernal Heights is also experiencing a crisis with helicopters flying low to take pictures of sink holes and the traffic . This can all be done by ground news crews. There is no need for any helicopter to report any of this and there is NEVER any need for low-flying helicopters over heavily populated San Francisco, making terrible noise and threatening our lives.
There is also never any reason for any military plane flying illegally low over heavily populated San Francisco, wasting tax dollars and oil, and making terrible noise . They do this annually for the baseball gambling racket and for Columbus Genocide Week.
Call all of the supervisors to demand that the city NEVER issue any permits to fly helicopters over heavily populated San Francisco, any day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, at any hour of the day. They all have voice mail so you can call them at any time and leave a message. You can also send them an Email. They are listed in your phone book and as follows:
