Picketing begins 6am, Thursday, April 14,

continues until 11:30 pm



Legislators call the University of California “the worst employer in the state.”



UC refuses to bargain in good faith with AFSCME 3299 members, the people who keep the campus running!



ï¾· 93% of UC service workers earn wages that do not meet basic needs for a single adult with a child.

ï¾· 46% earn wages that do not meet basic needs for a two wage-earner, two child family (if both adults earned the same amount).

ï¾· UC food service workers earn wages so low that they are eligible for nine major publicly-funded welfare programs.



Join workers, students and community members at nine campuses around the state for this strike.



THURSDAY, APRIL 14 – BERKELEY CAMPUS

6am¿¿.. Picket lines up at Sproul Plaza (just inside campus, near the intersection of Bancroft & Telegraph)

Noon¿.Rally at Sproul Plaza

4pm¿¿Rally at International House, 2299 Piedmont Av., Berkeley
