Saturday, April 16: DANCE/SOCIAL
The Cotton Club comes to Sacramento from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Lions Gate Hotel, 3410 Westover St. (inside McClellan). Step back in time to the era of Prohibition, bathtub gin, zoot suits, rent parties, jazz and silent films stars. A fun filled evening of casino caliber gambling, hors devours music of the era, and a silent auction. Space is limited, purchase tickets by calling Exceptional Events at (916) 525-2566. Tuesday, April 14: Paul Kagame, president of the Republic of Rwanda, will speak on "Managing Ethnic Relations and National Reconciliation in Post-genocide Rwanda" at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 14 in the Alumni Center at Sacramento State. Seating for the event begins at 9:45 a.m. In the event of an overflow crowd, a closed-circuit broadcast of the event will be available for viewing in the University Library, room 11. April 20th (from 11-2pm) will see a gathering on CSUS campus of over 40 local and Bay Area organizations focused on ending the Bush war agenda. 50 vendor
tables will encircle a variety of speakers and performers in this festive atmosphere designed to spark a fresh determination to end the war. World Arts program-Visionary

Center for Collaborative Planning, home of Women’s Health Leadership, will host a retreat – Leadership in a Multicultural Society: Creating Space for Change – on May 12 and 13, 2005.
